This is the one of the first chickens I carved. Must of been 25 or more years ago. She’s sitting in the bottom part of a nail keg. Took me forever to carve. Had to distress her, so the woman buying her would know she was carved from wood. A cranky old woman.
I did more of these, not this big, put them in wash pans. I always had a pet chicken when I was a kid. Come to think of it, I still do. Does that mean I’m still a kid? xx PJ
