What in the world am I doing up this time of the morning? Believe me, I’m not a morning person. I’m a ‘let’s sleep a little longer’ person. Sometimes a migraine will decide I need to get up, and it usually wins. Sometimes when I go ahead and get up, it goes away. So that’s what I’m working on.
Told ya my girlfriends came over for lunch yesterday. We had the best time. But Herbert had to work the entire time. He was so tired last night. He’s never had to bark at that many people. And they were all over the place. Darn women wouldn’t stay in one place. About the time he’d think he’d fell in love with one of ‘em… she’d move to different spot. So he’d have to give her a growl or snort. He tried herding, but at 5 lbs. and really short… it wasn’t working. Then the darn tamale lady came by. By that time his barker was just about wore out.
After everyone left, we discussed it and decided we needed a nap. (Herbert & I). Shoot. Here comes Richard in the front door. And he’s wearing that darn hat again. Herbert doesn’t know him if he has that hat on. So I’m encouraging Herbert to bite him, and he’s barking his head off. Herbert was so tired he didn’t like him even after he took that hat off.
OMG, I forgot to tell you. Ethel, the Wonder Chicken, has no eggs. I had given her 2 wooden eggs… I even painted them…. since she doesn’t lay eggs. I was thinking maybe a snake was eating her eggs. Well, that was 8 months ago. A couple of nights ago, we’re coming in after dark, pass Ethel’s house… she flys down, screaming her head off. I see a snake’s tail hanging out of her bed. Long story (scary music) shorter version (fast forward) Richard gets the snake out, holds it up to see how long it is. There about 3/4′s down the snake… 2 big egg shapes. He had ate Ethel’s wooden eggs. Soooo, the delima is… has he been eating her tiny eggs all this time until he got big enough to swallow the 2 big wooden eggs? You know, she’s a Bantam, so her eggs would be small, extra small.
The other question is…. if she lays an egg and gets to keep it (no snake) will she quit trying to crow? Within a week of George (boyfriend) dying, she started to attempt to crow. She thinks she can crow. I always think someone’s trying to choke her. It’s a God awful screach.
Well, I’ll keep you updated on Ethel’s egg vs. eggless situation. Oh, Lord. There she goes crowing again. I’d like to rip her tonsils out.

No new art to show you. I think I’m at a stand still. Can’t seem to get going. Usually happens to me this time of year. Not that I’m doing anything else. Just kinda staring.
Then I take a nap, two so far today. Don’t I sound exciting? I knew you’d be thrilled.
I’ve been cooking. Love to cook, but haven’t been doing that much of it for the last year. Trying to stay focused on my art, and produce. I have this belief… you can’t spread your creativity around too much. There will be nothing left for the important stuff. It seems to work for me.
But then I watched that movie. Julie & Julia. Shoulda never done it. You can not imagine how much watching that movie has cost so far. So far… 2 new cook books…. enough groceries to feed a small army and most of their friends… twice. The fridge is full, the pantry is bulging, the freezer has no more room. And… I’m obsessed. Totally.
Since I’ve been reading blogs, there’s always someone sharing a recipe. I always wanted to, but thought I should stick to my art. So I drive everyone I know crazy with sharing my latest recipe. Well, now I’m going to put ‘em on PJ’s Talking, and drive everyone else crazy. I was going to get rid of that blog, after I got this new place that I love. But so far, it hasn’t happened. So now I have this idea of doing both. My art here, my food & lousy photography there. We shall see how long this last.
All of this happening in my spare time, you know. Oh, I forgot. I want to do more tutorials, and more how to crazy videos for You Tube. All of this could mean I’m going to have to give up the naps… and life as I have known it for the last week and a half… keep those fingers crossed… xx

Yes, those fish are definitely puckered up. They are that kind of fish. All yeller fish do that. They can’t help theirselves. It’s in their jeans genes…
I know you think you’ve seen that blue barn before… but not so. You saw a similar blue barn that now lives in Brenham in a beautiful house. This one is merely similar, because a dear woman cried in the gallery because the 1st blue barn was sold. Well, maybe there weren’t real tears, but she was upset. Truly. So this is her chance to get her very own blue barn. and so on and so on….
Yes, the rumor is true. I’m going to do commissions. I said I wouldn’t, and I lied. Have a great day!
All important details are on the other pages. This one is my diary, where I get to tell big lies, show off, and whatever thrills me at the moment. xo PJ

Ethel is staring in her own movie. Ya gotta see her. She’s a natural. She didn’t even have to rehearse. She knew her lines, and wasn’t fussy about her hair. A natural born star… Watch for more videos of her on YouTube. xo, PJ

I’m bored. I’m taking time off from the studio to let my shoulder rest. I may go crazy before it gets rested. What are you suppose to do when you’re resting? Yesterday we checked out a co-op & gallery in a nearby town. Too much scented stuff in both places. Do people really live with those scented candles? What are those for? The ones yesterday were strong enough to cover up two wet dead dogs. Really big dogs. My sinuses will never be the same.
Then we went to see how many were set up for the big antique show. Get all the details from Show Daily. We have several huge shows in this area within a 2 to 3 week period, every fall and spring. From shopping in a cow pasture to an air conditioned pavilion, there’s something for everyone. It’s the best people watching you’d ever want to do. They come from everywhere. It gets wild and crazy. Great shopping, strange food. Lots of fun.
Musta over did it yesterday. My shoulder is complaining today. So, that sums up what I’ll be doing for a week or so. Trying to figure out just what I’m suppose to do while I’m resting. TV can make you brain dead. Reading a book is out. Guess Herbert & I will take lots of naps.
Or I could write big lies on this thing. Now that could be fun. Oh, did I tell you, I got an email today. A kind of invitation to submit written somethings to a website something or other. That clears that right up for you, don’t it? Ha! Well, that’s about how clear it was for me too. I do get weird emails, sometimes. Delete is my favorite key. Wish it were for those folks that are paranoid about getting jokes. They truly feel obligated to read them, or ask you to not send any, or could you just send short ones, with not so many words…. I swear that’s what they say. When I get ones I don’t like, or want to read, I hit delete. I feel no guilt, no shame, no remorse, or regrets. Heck, a time or two it made me smile.
On political stuff I draw the line. I don’t want anything political. I don’t care who you voted for, or who you didn’t vote for. And I don’t feel the need to justify who I voted for. After they’re elected, they’re everybody’s President. If I remember right, that’s what we’re suppose to be about. Choices. The right to have choices. Now to get off that soap box….
Or maybe I’ll do another rain dance in the front yard. It rained about 4 inches the other day. I know that sounds like a lot. But the cracks in the yard are really wide. Looks like mini earth quakes. So that 4 inches was sucked up in no time. We could use another 4. Maybe a dance or two would do it.
Have you watched my new video on YouTube? Well, you need to. It’s a vitual tour of my little gallery in Carmine, Texas. You don’t want to miss THAT! Ya’ll have a fun weekend. Remember to rest, whatever that entails…. xoxo PJ

Yes, this is life in the country… you have a chicken for a best friend. It started out that I had a chicken for a pet. Now Ethel is my new best friend. I think it switched over a couple of weeks ago when I feed Ethel bread on the front porch. Really good bread. Something like 9 grain stuff. She loved it. So today I was sitting on the steps, that’s when she decided she needed a really close look at my new camera. Couldn’t help the half a head shot. The more I raised the camera, the longer her neck got. She really wants to peck my Crocks. She’s fasinated by the holes. When I went in to get the bread, I must of left the door open. She was coming in as I got to the door. That last photo is her doing her nails. She takes great pride in her nails. Never dirty.
You can have a new best friend if you want. I had chickens in the city. Just don’t get anything that crows…. xo PJ

That’s my heart beating…. I’m in love with the tech at HP help desk… Madly in love, I’m telling you. I was having a major melt down this mornin’. Could not log in on this website for nothin’. I tried and I tried, then I did a little dance, tried again. Finally I stood on my head. Nothin’ worked. So I called the tech support #, just knowing I’d get some one in India. Not that I don’t like those people. They’re always very very nice. It’s just that I speak Texan, they’re speaking something else. I pick up accents real easy, so after 10 minutes of me saying. “s l o w d o w n” I start speaking Indian/I don’t know what with a Texas drawl. It’s not amusing. It sounds like I’m making fun and I swear I am not. I’d never ever make fun of someone that’s gonna save my life/computer. (same thing)
This time I got somebody living in the U.S. speaking English with no accent what so ever. After 25 minutes of helping me, he signed off saying, “Ya’ll come back soon, ya hear?”
