Boo in a Box looks a lot better in this photo don’t ya think? More like he’s doin’ Halloween instead of a white sheet sale at Macy’s. I’m thinkin’ I’m gonna do a larger one of these similar.
Did ya see my CrowFish? Yes, it’s a new species… discovered by me, PJ Hornberger, of course. They travel far and wide, especially on Halloween. I highlighted him with iridescent watercolors in blues, greens, and silvers. He shimmers when you walk by. I am totally in love with him. He came out exactly like I saw him in my head. Yes, I do have visions. Sometimes I can make them appear… other times I just wish they had.
Wanna see more photos of the crow? Oh, hush… I know you do.

Just think… he could be yours….

Sweet Sue Star Fish
For about 5 minutes I thought I wanted to do another theme show… then I got over it. Drives me crazy when I finish a piece, I want to show somebody NOW!
So I decided not to deprive myself or you.
Yes, I’m thoughtful that way….
All the details on these fish will be on PJ’s Whimsical Shop.
Thanks for looking.. more fish will be swimming this way very soon.

Been working in the studio since 6 am. There are dead chickens, dead fish every where. Two fans going full blast. It’s mass confusion… and I love it!
Had to stop and take a shower. I had clay in my hair, and everywhere else. Since I’ve been up since 3am… I thought a nap might be a good thing. Then I can get back on it. I love to work fast. Cook fast, sew fast. It’s the only speed I know.
It is hotter than blue blazes out there. That Texas weather is here. Look out, it’s coming your way. zzzzzzz…….

Roll me over, I am done. This purse has taken way too long to finish. But I’m glad now I kept at it. It’s fun. It’s wild, I like it.
It’s painted, thread sketched, beaded, and some other stuff. Now I want to paint on canvas real bad. Gotta get to work on some canvas. xoxoxo PJ

This purse has got a ways to go before it’s finished. But I’m liking the dog so much, I had to show him too. The B&W check is going to be the lining. Kinda wild, huh? So far, I’ll working on this one while I wait for paint to dry on the fish purse. I can’t just sit still. Drives me crazy. I’m making these up as I go along. Yes, I had a pattern, but I can not stick to those things. Gotta do it my way. Which drives some folks crazy. A friend… former acquaintance use to say.. “PJ you always have to do it your way”. Well, I’d hope so, it’s my life, my art. Why would I want her to screw it up? LOL… Makes me giggle just thinking about it….

This one has beads, lots of metallic threads, buttons. I’m really liking this one. Got a crazy idea for the edge. Hope it does what I want it to do. It won’t break my heart if it doesn’t. That’ll just head me in a different direction. The shiny threads and beads didn’t show up well in this photo. But they sparkle in the light. Very fun. I still haven’t started the shoulder strap. Hope to get that done tomorrow.
I think I’m going to put the same b&w check lining in this one also. Love that fabric… it’ll pop when you open the purse. Yes, I am having fun. The flu/plague interrupted for a few days, but I got lots of beading/painting done today.
Hope I have lots to show you tomorrow. Have a great Sunday. Feed the birds, it makes them happy. xo PJ

This isn’t the greatest photo. I had to take it with my small camera. The other one decided it’s battery was tired. I hate when that happens.
This is that cute family that I’ve been doing the portrait for. I’ve taken way too long to do it. Stuff just kept getting in my way. Right now it has the first coat of varnish waiting to dry. I’m hoping to have it ready to hang this afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed….

Guess what I did today? Yes, I’m still dancing…. but…. I painted, I sketched, I got paint on me. Then I did it some more. It felt soooo gooood!
I worked on a commission that I shoulda already finished. But my life got in my way. Those very nice people have not complained one time. They are the best.
Today was a really good day. The sun was shining, and I just couldn’t stop grinning. Shirley snored through my great mood. Didn’t expect anything else from her.
Back to the commission painting. It’s a family portrait. It’s gonna be sooo fun. It’s got everybody in it, then I added some more. Ha! It is so busy, can’t wait to slap more paint on it tomorrow. Here’s a sneak peak….

I’ll show the finished painting after……

Yes, those fish are definitely puckered up. They are that kind of fish. All yeller fish do that. They can’t help theirselves. It’s in their jeans genes…
I know you think you’ve seen that blue barn before… but not so. You saw a similar blue barn that now lives in Brenham in a beautiful house. This one is merely similar, because a dear woman cried in the gallery because the 1st blue barn was sold. Well, maybe there weren’t real tears, but she was upset. Truly. So this is her chance to get her very own blue barn. and so on and so on….
Yes, the rumor is true. I’m going to do commissions. I said I wouldn’t, and I lied. Have a great day!
All important details are on the other pages. This one is my diary, where I get to tell big lies, show off, and whatever thrills me at the moment. xo PJ
