Is she gorgeous, or what? Meg Mitchell of Priscillamae.etsy.com and Priscillamaeetal blog does these lovely ladies of Paris. Each one has her own personality… very glamorous of course. This is a tote, but she wants to lay on the divan… so she may have to pose there often.
Sorry for the horrible background. I know it doesn’t do her justice. I was lazy and didn’t want to rearrange a wall. But she does look good anywhere she chooses to rest.
Go visit Meg and get your sweet self a present. You probably need and deserve one. I know I did.

I got to paint some today. Made me very happy! Some how, I ended up starting 4 paintings at one time. I may be going crazy or something…. 3 are very funny cat paintings. I have one almost finished. Got a bird on his head… a strange bird for a strange cat. These are all small paintings. Then I’ve started a flower something or other. I think it might be a still life? Never know what to call my paintings. Folk art is always safe… after that… I have no idea.
I’m now going to be a happier camper. It’s been hot here for the last couple of days. Or hot in my house. Not a good thing for asthma. Asthma can be very picky about the weather… and a lot of other stuff.
But the REPAIR MAN from heaven came today. He declared the air is fixed! Yea! Have no idea what the bill is going to say, but right now I just don’t care. I can breathe! So that means I can paint! Yea! And that means PJ won’t be a cranky artiste`…. Ha! Ok, ok, not as cranky….

This isn’t the greatest photo. I had to take it with my small camera. The other one decided it’s battery was tired. I hate when that happens.
This is that cute family that I’ve been doing the portrait for. I’ve taken way too long to do it. Stuff just kept getting in my way. Right now it has the first coat of varnish waiting to dry. I’m hoping to have it ready to hang this afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed….

Guess what I did today? Yes, I’m still dancing…. but…. I painted, I sketched, I got paint on me. Then I did it some more. It felt soooo gooood!
I worked on a commission that I shoulda already finished. But my life got in my way. Those very nice people have not complained one time. They are the best.
Today was a really good day. The sun was shining, and I just couldn’t stop grinning. Shirley snored through my great mood. Didn’t expect anything else from her.
Back to the commission painting. It’s a family portrait. It’s gonna be sooo fun. It’s got everybody in it, then I added some more. Ha! It is so busy, can’t wait to slap more paint on it tomorrow. Here’s a sneak peak….

Being an artist never ends and you can never really remember when it began. At least I can’t. I doodled on everything around me. Loved to draw on the phone book when I was a kid. Then started school. I drew instead of doing the work. I didn’t mind they gave me horrible grades. But my Mother did. Oh, well.
I’d carve branches with a plastic knife, then when it broke Mother dear would LOAN me a butter knife. The dog & I did a lot of damage with that butter knife. He’d watch very intently, just knowing that I was going to make something worthwhile. Usually a very short spear. I was obsessed to say the least.
Loved to draw in the dirt. Add China Berries & leaves for detail. Add some water, and you could make a pie. Then feed it to the boy down the street. He may have been taller, but I was tougher.
If I don’t get back into the studio very very soon…. I’m going to draw on my bedroom walls. I love to work, cook, and work some more. OK, I’ll stop whining and watch more TV. Yuck! Roll me over I am done! Wish I could put this asthma in the closet and close the door. I’m working on it…. xxxxxx

This photo isn’t exactly straight, but I promise the black canvas is. Looks like I got a little hyper on this one. I love all that color in the threads, beads, and the paint. Finally had to make myself quit, and pronounce it ‘done’.
It’s cold in Texas right now, so that means it’s too cold in my studio to do much. So with this I can pile up in the bed with Herbert (my Chihuahua), do embroidery, bead, and watch Law & Order all day. Only bad thing is when I drop beads in the bed. Those things are painful when you’re trying to take a nap. Doesn’t bother Herbert. Nothing bothers Herbert. He’s Mr. Cool.
